Code of Conduct

Weโ€™re built on ๐Ÿค respect๐Ÿ’ก support, and a shared passion for ๐ŸŽฅ filmmaking. Collaboration, ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ open communication, and the free exchange of knowledge are at the heart of our community. This is a ๐ŸŽจ creative space where every voice and vision is valued.

To keep our community safe ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ and welcoming ๐ŸŒˆ, we follow a Code of Conduct that applies to everyone in our projects.

๐Ÿšซ Unacceptable behaviour includes:

  • ๐Ÿ’” Harassment or hurtful language based on age, body size, caste, disability (visible or invisible), education, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, experience level, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion/beliefs, sex characteristics, sexual identity/orientation, skin colour, or socio-economic status.

  • โŒ Sexism, racism, colourism, homophobia, biphobia, interphobia, transphobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, fascism, ageism, or ableism.

  • โš ๏ธ Acts of violence, inappropriate physical contact, stalking, or unwelcome attention (sexual or otherwise).

  • ๐Ÿšท Inappropriate use of nudity, sexual images, or depictions of violence.

We protect our creative space by holding each other to these standardsโ€”so everyone can focus on what weโ€™re here to do: make great films together ๐ŸŽฏ.

Cases of violation

๐Ÿ”’ We respect your privacy and will keep all reports confidential. Any violation of our Code of Conduct is taken seriously and handled promptly.

๐Ÿšซ We reserve the right to remove content that doesnโ€™t meet our community standards. The leadership team may also revoke access to both online and in-person spaces without notice or refund if necessary.

Your safety mattersโ€”together, we keep this community welcoming and respectful.

Community Guidelines

  • We use Discord as our main hub for all communication. To foster trust and professional integrity, we ask every member to use their real first name. This helps build genuine connections, promotes accountability, and ensures we interact as both filmmakers and individuals. We do not allow made up usernames, we want to truly know who weโ€™re talking to and make communication simple. You can easily change your username for our server only, so thereโ€™s really no excuse not to keep it real.

  • We want members to recognize each other both on Discord and at our meetups, so we strongly recommend using a clear photo of your face. It helps break the ice, builds trust, and makes our community more personal.
We understand you may be on other servers where you donโ€™t feel comfortable showing your face this can be an exception just for our server. If you use Discord Nitro, you can even set a unique profile photo just for us.

  • ๐ŸŽฏ Respect โ€“ Be nice.
    ๐Ÿค Support โ€“ Be helpful.
    ๐Ÿ’ฌ Transparency โ€“ Communicate openly.
๐Ÿ“ค Sharing โ€“ Wisdom, skills, knowledge, and equipment.

๐Ÿ›  Solution-Orientation โ€“ Actively work towards finding solutions to challenges.
๐ŸŒŸ Benefit of the Doubt โ€“ Expect the best, not the worst.
๐Ÿ—ฃ Effective Communication โ€“ Be clear and concise.
โœ… Take Responsibility โ€“ Own the consequences of your actions.

  • โœ๏ธ Write a short, friendly intro that shows who you are.
๐Ÿ›๏ธ If youโ€™re selling something, tell us what it is, why itโ€™s awesome, and why we should grab it.
โœจ Keep it clear, engaging, and let your personality shine.
๐ŸŽค This is your spotlight โ€” make it count!
